After Effects
The LottieFiles plugin for Adobe After Effects lets you browse the LottieFiles library, import Lottie animations into your compositions, and export your After Effects work as Lottie — directly from inside After Effects.
Features
Explore the public LottieFiles library and import animations into a composition.
Workspace access to your team's animations, images, source files, projects, and folders.
Export any composition to Lottie via the render queue.
Motion Tokens and themes for previewing and customizing tokenized dotLottie files from Explore, then managing and saving changes from Workspace.
Motion System for reusable colors, fonts, easings, motion presets, and assets.
Import existing dotLottie files into your project.
Help and account
The plugin's top-right corner exposes a small set of account-level actions:
Help dropdown — links to documentation, support, and feedback channels.
Account avatar (when signed in) — opens a menu with My Dashboard, Settings, About, and Logout.
Choose Settings to open Plugin settings. The Auto-save preference controls whether the plugin saves a changed AEP automatically before rendering. Workspace preferences are still managed on the LottieFiles website.
Limits and plans
Some plugin features depend on your LottieFiles plan or workspace capabilities, including Motion System creation, version updates, file status, optimized Lottie export, and storage beyond the free 20 MB / 5-file cap. See How plans affect the plugin for the full matrix.
