Quickstart

A short path from a blank After Effects project to your first imported Lottie animation. If you're new to the LottieFiles plugin, start here.

This chapter has three pages, in the order you'll likely follow them:

1. Installation — install the plugin and open it in After Effects.

2. Interface — a quick walk-through of the plugin's main areas, so the rest of the docs make sense.

3. Your first import — sign in, find an animation in the LottieFiles library, and import it into a composition.

If you're already past setup, you can skip ahead to the Features chapters in the sidebar.

Note — You can use Explore without an account (up to 3 free inserts as a guest), but saving to a workspace and most other features need a free LottieFiles account. A few features (Motion System creation, version updates, status tracking, optimized export) require a paid plan — see How plans affect the plugin.
