Share workspace animations for review or developer handoff from the LottieFiles plugin for Figma.
Workspace sharing gives teammates and developers a stable asset page instead of a loose exported file. Use it when the animation needs review, download access, CDN links, or embed options.
How to access this
Open the LottieFiles plugin in Figma.
Open Workspace.
Navigate to the animation file.
Open the file detail view.
Share from Workspace
Use the file actions to open the asset in a browser or copy a shareable link when available. The asset page is the best place for review, download, CDN links, and embed options because it stays connected to the workspace version.
Handoff to developers
For developer handoff, share one of these:
Workspace asset URL - best when the developer needs preview, download, and CDN options in one place.
.lottiefile - preferred for production handoff; smaller files with support for state machines, themes, and motion tokens.Lottie JSON file - use only when the destination still requires legacy
lottie-webcompatibility.
Interactive Figma exports should be handed off as dotLottie and played with a dotLottie runtime.
