Browsing Workspace assets

Switch workspaces, browse projects and folders, search, and inspect team assets in VS Code.

Use Workspace to find the exact asset your team approved or handed off.

Sign in and choose a workspace

  1. Open Workspace.

  2. Sign in if prompted.

  3. Choose the workspace that owns the project.

Changing the workspace also changes the systems available in the System tab.

Browse projects and folders

Open a project, then move through its folders with the breadcrumb navigation. File rows show the available type and preview information so you can distinguish animations from Creator, image, or source assets.

Use search when you know part of the asset or project name. Search results can span the current Workspace scope exposed by the extension.

Inspect a file

Select an animation to open its detail drawer. Depending on the file, it can include:

  • Playback and file information.

  • Color palette controls.

  • Multi-animation, theme, token, marker, segment, or state-machine information.

  • Original and optimized download formats.

  • CDN publication controls.

  • Generated code.

  • A link to the asset on LottieFiles.

Non-animation assets expose the preview and file actions supported for their type.

Confirm the right version

Check the project, folder, file name, and preview before using the asset. When a teammate publishes an update, reopen or refresh the file before downloading or copying its CDN URL.
