Vectorizer
Convert raster artwork into vector paths before preparing it for Figma to Lottie export.
Vectorizer is available from the plugin's Tools tab. It converts raster artwork into vector paths, which can give you cleaner animation control than working with a flat image layer.
When to use it
You have a PNG, JPG, or other raster image that needs editable paths.
You want cleaner animation control than a flat image layer provides.
You need to simplify artwork before Figma to Lottie export.
Basic workflow
Open the LottieFiles plugin in Figma.
Open Tools.
Choose Vectorizer.
Select or import the raster artwork.
Convert it to vector artwork.
Clean up the resulting paths before animation.
Before animating
Vectorized artwork can contain more paths than you expect. Simplify the result and remove unnecessary detail before export to keep the animation lighter.
