Finding animations
Find animations in Explore by searching the public LottieFiles library and switching between free and Premium results.
Use Explore when you need a ready-made animation for a Figma scene. Search by concept, motion intent, or UI state, then preview the result before inserting it.
How to access this
Open the LottieFiles plugin in Figma.
Open Explore.
Search the library
Use the search field to filter the current library scope. Good search terms describe the UI moment, not only the object:
loadingsuccessempty stateuploadconfettierror
If you are not sure what you need, browse curated or trending content first, then narrow by search once you know the motion language you want.
Switch between free and Premium content
Explore can show both free and Premium animations. Free animations are useful for common product states. Premium animations are curated and plan-gated.
Tips for product designers
Search by interaction state when the animation is part of UI feedback:
pressed, submitted, complete, failed.Search by shape language when the animation needs to match a brand direction:
line, outline, soft, geometric.Save useful results to Workspace before heavy customization so the team can find the same asset later.
